STARTERS - served with fresh granary bread.
HOMEMADE PEPPERPOT SOUP - a spicy tomato and vegetable soup.V
DUCK SALAD - tasty warm duck salad with mixed lettuce, pine nuts and avocado with a raspberry vinaigrette. V - asparagus to replace duck.
SANTA'S CLAWS - crab meat, flaked haddock and prawns in a creamy sauce, baked with cheese.
XMAS PARCEL - chunks of turkey and pear in a cream cheese baked in a puff pastry parcel. Served with spicy chutney. V - pecan nuts instead of turkey.
MAIN COURSES - served with our delicious seasonal vegetables.
VENISON - haunch of venison marinated with red wine and herbs then roasted and sliced, served with meat juices and a red currant jelly.
GOBBLE GOBBLE - traditional roast turkey sliced and served with chipolatas, bacon roll, chestnut and sage stuffing, a light, tasty gravy and cranberry sauce.
ROAST SIRLOIN - best striploin simply roasted with herbs, then sliced & served with a red onion compote & the meat juices. (Please specify whether pink or cooked through.)
SEA BASS - fillets of bass coated in seasoned flour, shallow fried & served with a cream, mussel, prawn & saffron sauce.
PRANCER'S PORK - medallions of pork fillet sauteed with apple and crispy bacon then served with a cider and cream sauce.
VEGETARIAN PLATTER (save the reindeer) - Mediterranean vegetable tart and stilton mushrooms served with dauphinoise potatoes and a selection of fresh vegetables.V
